There has been so much talk about the Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation and how it was 5 years in the making to perfect and create “magic in a bottle”.Charlotte Tilbury has a way with words. If she was a salesperson I think she could pretty much sell anything in the store to the customer with her words, she has a gift!If you go to the official website and watch her videos where she describes the products with so much passion, you would be sold right there! She is so creative.

Why is this foundation called Magic?
•It’s collagen-boosting!! Reducing the appearance of age spots by 75% in 4 months and reducing the appearance of acne after just 9 weeks
•Genius Hyaluronic Filling Spheres absorb into the skin and plump up wrinkles from within – in 1 hour skin looks smoother and firmer, plus more supple and youthful.
Packaging:Upon looking at the bottle my first impression was it looks classy and elegant & will grace the vanity table pretty well.It comes in a 30ml glass container with a white plastic pump and a rose gold lid.Now you have to pull the lid open otherwise you will just have the entire pump come out(which happened to me when I first tried to use this product)as the lid doesn’t shut tightly.
The pump for me not only looks a little cheap but also impractical as it gets dirty and since it’s white, the foundation that gets on it becomes clearly visible, but the pump works well. The bottle itself is glass, so it’s not travel friendly but sure we won’t hold that against it. It’s what’s inside that really counts isn’t it?
You get a wide range to select from. They are 15 shades available.I picked 4.5,I’m a Mac (NC 20-25)so for me this shade matched perfectly well. When you buy it online,it’s a risk that you take hoping you picked the right color, but do your research and see if you can get a Mac reference and then pick your shade.
My Review:In short I love the foundation, although the texture of the foundation is thick when you apply it on your face it feels so lightweight and it literally melts into the skin.So I’ve heard a lot of people complain that the foundation sticks to dry patches,I have dry skin and you if you have moisturised well I don’t think you should have a problem with this foundation.
It’s not full coverage foundation,it’s very natural looking but it’s definitely buildable and it doesn’t look cakey at all.I usually use 2 pumps of this for my full face.It gives the skin a beautiful, flawless and healthy glow. The lasting power is reasonable with no noticable transfer onto clothes.
I personally prefer to use a Beauty Blender along with a spritz of Mac Fix Plus to give me a flattering medium coverage that looks natural. However if you are looking for a full coverage, i would recommend using a buffing brush. Regardless whichever method you use, your skin will be flawlessly evened out.The finish of this foundation is semi-matte.
The key to getting good results with any foundation including this Magic Foundation is to prep your skin for best results.Mositurise and prime your skin well to get the most out of the foundation.
Would I repurchase?
I’ve had this foundation for about 3 weeks now,and I bought this at the time my skin was reacting to every new product but this worked very well with my skin and it did not irritate my skin and caused me to react. So I’m extremely happy about that. And yes I would definitely repurachase. Also I’ve been waiting to try out the DolceVita eyeshadow quad that would probably be my next buy:)
Let me know in the comments if there is any product that you have been wanting to try out?:)
