“You cannot achieve good makeup without good makeup tools”.I completely agree with this, yes they say we can use fingers BUT the bacteria and oils from our fingers transfers to the face and clogs pores and the flawless finish we get using a makeup brush cannot be fully achieved with fingers! As long as we wash our brushes and keep them clean we have nothing to worry about.Let’s start with the top 5 brushes in no particular order.
1)Real Techniques Foundation Brush
I absolutely love this brush to apply foundation/concealer/corrector,if I’m not using my beauty blender then this is my go to brush.I dot my face with the product I’m using then use this brush buffing it into my skin starting from the centre, going outward(without changing direction)to avoid any noticeable lines.
2)Real Techniques Powder Brush
This is a big fluffy round brush that I use to powder my face, this can substitute to apply blush as well. What I love about the brush particularly the Real Technique brushes are the quality, and how sturdy and easy they are to use.
3)Sigma Crease Brush (SS224)
I decided to invest in good quality brushes and thought Sigma would be my best bet and I couldn’t be any happier.I’ve had these brushes for the longest time(been years)and there is no shedding, they work so well and take up the product effortlessly.I regularly wash my brushes and use them often and I love them.
4)Morphe flat shader brush
I recently purchased some brushes from Morphe although I did notice the contour brush from this range did shed a lot and I gifted it to my sister too who felt the same so I wasn’t really happy with the contour brush. But the shader brush works fine and does not shed.
5)Real techniques contour brush
I love the Real technique brushes (from this post you can tell about my love for the brushes;)but yes they are the essential tools that I use for my everyday makeup. When you want to add that sun kissed look to your face or when you want a natural glow,a bronzer does the job.I love using this brush to bronze my face,I also use this to contour as it works for both.
So if you’re just starting out and are looking for brushes then I suggest getting •Foundation brush(you can use this for foundation/concealer/to apply BB creams)
•Flat shader brush(to apply eyeshadow of choice and also to line your lower lash line)
•Contour brush(for a sun kissed glow)
•Crease brush(When you just want to add a little color to your eyes,a wash of color on the crease is perfect)
•Powder brush(substitute for blush brush well)
